C'est un musée à ciel ouvert, situé au bord de la plage et dépendant de l'école des armements de la marine chilienne.
Le Conseil municipal de Viña del Mar l'a approuvé le 9 mai 2000 en tant que bâtiment historique et architectural.
Depuis 1962, des canons abandonnés installés à bord de navires de guerre et d'autres armes, telles que des torpilles, des armes anti-sous-marines et antiaériennes, sont exposés devant l'école de la marine.
Chaque canon a son histoire (certaines assiettes ont été volées) et est bien conservé. Cependant, l'air maritime les endommagera sûrement à long terme, bien que leurs bouches soient bien couvertes, ce qui garantit au moins que l'intérieur est en bon état. conditions.
Sa mission est de faire connaître à la communauté les différentes pièces d'artillerie utilisées dans les unités navales.
