Bernardo O'Higgins camped here before attacking the defeated Spanish forces waiting to embark. On this lace, declared a National Monument, the Liberator signed the Act of Independence of Chile, which was proclaimed the following day, January 1, 1818, in the Plaza de Concepción.

By plane
