Tra il 1867 e il 1871 fu abbattuto da questo luogo e disperso in un luogo sconosciuto, dopo essere stato ricostruito nel 1916 da Saavedra Machado e Luís Chaves e collocato nel luogo in cui si trova oggi. Mantiene originale l'albero, la capitale e il corújo coronamento, tutti questi elementi dello stile manuelino.

Costruito all'inizio del secolo. Nel 1698, sotto il regno di Re Manuele I (1495-1521), nel 1698 fu rimosso dal fronte dell'ex Palazzo Reale di D. Dinis (attuale Pousada da Rainha Santa Isabel) al Santo André terreiro, di fronte al Contea del tempo.
