The Inca road from Tarata to Santa Maria, constitutes one of the branches registered by the Cápac Ñan (Network of Inca roads) and that can show in the province of Tarata, beautiful pre-Hispanic roads in a very good state of conservation, having endured for years, load of animals and of the Inca royal sequitos.

Tarata Highway

This road enters the Tacna region through the Susapaya hills and after a long journey it passes through Ticaco to reach the Tarata sector towards Caplina. At the height of the Chakavira river, there is a detour from the Inca trail in the direction of Kallanka and the Architectural complex of ´´Santa María´´, crossing beautiful places.
