The Barril Beach train is a 600-meter seasonal gauge railway (Decauville system) connecting the pier in front of Pedras d'el Rei and Barril Beach (on the Island of Tavira) along a route of 1 km. The trip lasts eight minutes and the return is done in reverse.
The line was initially built to serve the old tuna fishing rig located on Barril Beach, having been built around the 1920s.
